4. What is a down comforter?
A down comforter is filled with soft, fluffy clusters of down (the undercoating of geese or ducks) or a blend of down and feathers. It provides warmth without weight, is breathable, and offers excellent insulation. Fill power (600-800+) indicates fluffiness and warmth. Shell fabric is typically high-thread-count cotton.

5. What is a latex pillow?
A latex pillow is made from natural or synthetic latex foam. It offers responsive support, durability, breathability, and is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and mold. Available in various lofts (low, medium, high) and firmness levels (soft, medium, firm) to suit different sleeping positions.

6. How do I choose the right down comforter?

  • Warmth level: Lightweight (summer), all-season (medium), extra warm (winter).

  • Fill power: Higher (700+) for more warmth with less weight.

  • Fill type: Down (softest, warmest), down & feather blend (affordable), down alternative (synthetic, hypoallergenic).

  • Construction: Baffle box prevents shifting; sewn-through is more affordable.

7. How do I choose the right latex pillow?

  • Sleeping position: Back sleepers – medium loft; side sleepers – high loft; stomach sleepers – low loft.

  • Firmness: Choose based on personal preference.

  • Material: Natural latex (eco-friendly, durable), synthetic latex (affordable), blended.

8. How do I care for my down comforter?

  • Duvet cover: Always use a removable, washable duvet cover.

  • Washing: Most down comforters are machine washable (check label). Use a large-capacity machine, gentle cycle with cold water, and mild detergent specifically for down. Do not use fabric softener.

  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls or wool dryer balls to restore loft. Ensure completely dry to prevent mold.

  • Storage: Store in a breathable cotton bag (not plastic) in a cool, dry place. Do not vacuum-seal for long-term storage (damages loft).

9. How do I care for my latex pillow?

  • Pillow protector: Always use a removable, washable pillow protector.

  • Cleaning: Hand wash the cover with mild detergent; air dry. Do not machine wash the latex core – spot clean with damp cloth if needed.

  • Air out: New latex pillows may have a slight natural rubber smell – air out for a day or two before use.

  • Fluffing: Gently fluff and rotate the pillow regularly to maintain shape.

  • Avoid: Direct sunlight, heat sources, and folding or compressing for long periods.

10. What safety standards do your products meet?

  • Down Comforters: 16 CFR Part 1632 (flammability of mattresses/mattress pads – for fill materials), 16 CFR Part 1610 (outer fabrics). Responsible Down Standard (RDS) for ethically sourced down where indicated.

  • Latex Pillows: 16 CFR Part 1610 (cover flammability), CPSIA (lead/phthalates for children's products). Natural latex is hypoallergenic and complies with FDA food contact standards where applicable.
